Rules
The series will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, appendix E for RC sailing, and class rules of the DragonFlite 95 class, except as changed by this Notice and the Sailing Instructions.
Eligibility
Participation is limited to the first 20 boats to complete registration and payment of the $25.00 entry fee. Eligible boats are limited to the DF95 class, with boats rigged in accordance with DF95 class rules. Priority for conflicting sail numbers will be based on the order of registration. Sail number conflicts need to be resolved before racing begins.
Sailing Instructions
Sailing Instructions and a course sheet with marks, start, recall and finish information will be provided for all participants at check-in time on Saturday, May 6th 2023.
Fees
Regatta Registration Fee: $25.00 (includes post-racing Barbecue)
Schedule of Events
Gate open for arrival: 10:00
Check-in: 10:30 – 11:30
Skippers meeting: 11:30
The first racing sequence will start at 12:00
Around 15:00 a 30 minute break will be taken
No heats will start after 17:00 and racing will be ended
Barbecue for competitors: 17:10
Scoring
After 5 heats have been completed, 1 discard.
After 10 heats have been completed, 2 discards.
After 15 heats have been completed, 3 discards; and so on for every further 5 races completed.
All boats will compete as one fleet.
After a heat has been completed, racers may request a delay of the next start up to 5 minutes, maximum of 1 such delay per racer per day.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the First, Second, and Third place finishers, during the post-sailing Barbecue.
