VLSC members have the opportunity to participate in an extensive racing program. A number of race series are scheduled through-out the year including a Spring and Fall Sunday Series; a Spring, Summer, and Fall Tuesday Series; a long-distance series; and a Summer Single-handed Series.
During normal years our PIYA Regatta is held annually the first full weekend in June, and our famous 1-day Bloomin' Algae Laser Regatta is held mid-summer on a Saturday. This year we are also adding several Dragonflite 95 (DF95) Radio-controlled Class boat events.
