Rules

The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) for 2021-2024, the prescriptions of US SAILING, and the rules of ILCA class where applicable, except as any of these are changed by this Notice of Race and/or this event's Sailing Instructions. Six races are scheduled. There will be one throw-out if six races are completed. Practice sails will be allowed.

Classes

Three boats are required to form a class. The Regatta is open to all boats of the ILCA 7 (Standard), ILCA 6 (Laser Radial), and ILCA 4 (Laser 4.7) classes. Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each class will be awarded.

Eligibility

Eligible boats may be entered in this regatta by completing a registration with the Vancouver Lake Sailing Club in accordance with the regatta registration form. A boat must be registered and have all fees paid to VLSC before becoming an official competitor. Three boats must be registered in each fleet in order to be scored separately.

Boats may register online at https://vlsc.org/laser-regatta-registration/ or during registration & check-in
the day of the regatta.

Entry Fees

The fee for the regatta is $25 per boat (includes 1 dinner ticket), with an additional $5 discount available to all US SAILING members (must provide USS ID at check-in).

Registration is due by Friday, July 19th. Late registrations will be accepted no later than 14:00 on Saturday, July 20th, 2024.

All participants must check-in with the registration desk on Saturday in order to be eligible for this regatta.

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS rule 4, decision to race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

**** Pets are NOT allowed on the VLSC grounds ****

Please respect our neighbors by driving slowly in the residential area around VLSC.

VLSC facilities will be available at no charge to participants and their families (again, no pets please) for the duration of the regatta. The club grounds have limited room for tent camping. A full kitchen, showers and restrooms are also available to registered participants and guests.

Numerous hotels and motels are available in the Portland and Vancouver area.
